From Monday, 13 September we are waiting for you at the Benedictine Monastery of San Nicolò l’Arena with new timetables. Guided tours, organized by Officine Culturali, will take place:
- Monday to Friday at 10:00, 12:00, 15:00 and 17:00.
- Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm, one tour every hour.
Among lush gardens and majestic architecture we will accompany you to discover the two cloisters, the sixteenth-century basement with two Roman houses inside, the eighteenth-century North wing with the kitchens and cellars built by the architect Vaccarini . Also on the weekends and holidays, the tours will be enriched with what were once the sumptuous rooms of the Benedictine abbot.

As required by the Decree Law of 24 December 2021, starting from 10 January 2022, in order to access museums and monuments it is mandatory to be in possession of the “reinforced” Green pass, the green certification issued to people who have recovered from Covid or are vaccinated.
Also, since the Benedictine Monastery is part of the University of Catania, it’s mandatory to use ffp2 masks during the tour.
