From Sunday 1 August we are waiting for you at the Benedictine Monastery of San Nicolò l’Arena to guide you inside the jewel of the late Sicilian Baroque with a new timetable. Guided tours, organized by Officine Culturali, will take place: Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00, a guided tour every hour.
Officine Culturali will walk with you on a journey through time that goes from the present day to the ancient Romans, thanks to the contemporary restoration of the architect Giancarlo De Carlo. Trough luxurious gardens and maze like corridors, we will walk across the two cloisters, the sixteenth-century basement, the eighteenth-century wing made by the architect Vaccarini with its kitchens and cellars. On the weekends and holidays the guided tours will be enriched by the visit of what were once the sumptuous apartment of the Benedictine abbot.
